About Garret

Before coming to Gainey Ranch, Garret was General Manager at our sister club Seville Golf & Country Club in Gilbert, Az. Garret’s professional career with Invited began in January 2007 when he was appointed General Manager at Indian Wells Country Club. In 2010, he was appointed as General/Regional Manager at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Ca. Prior to Invited, Garret was the Director of Operations at La Quinta Resort & Club, where he was responsible for resort operations and the Tennis Club at this 800-room historic resort. From 1993 – 98, Garret worked for ITT Sheraton. He spent four years as Assistant Hotel Manager/Director of Guest Services at the Five-Diamond Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale, and 1 year at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers. From 1988 – 1993, Garret was at the Five-Diamond Scottsdale Princess Resort in a variety of management positions including Golf Coordinator, where he worked closely with the TPC of Scottsdale, and was the Director of Guest Services in addition to other resort management duties. While attending the University of Arizona, Garret worked at the Ventana Canyon in Tucson, Az. Garret is Married to his wife Janice, they have two adult children, Sydney and Brooks - who also live in Scottsdale.

About Kurt

Kurt has had a career in club membership since 2000 and joined Gainey Ranch Golf Club as the Membership Director in 2019. His career includes Membership Director roles at Indian Wells Country Club, a sister property, and multiple premier clubs in the Palm Desert, California area, such as Rancho La Quinta Country Club and Andalusia Country Club. An Arizona State University graduate, Kurt was a pitcher for the Sun Devils before advancing to play professional baseball in the Cincinnati Reds organization. A passionate golfer, Kurt values the opportunity to connect with members who share his love for the sport. Kurt is thrilled to be back in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area, where he enjoys life with his wife Anna. Their son, Kole, also an ASU graduate, lives in Phoenix and works for the Arizona Diamondbacks organization.

About Megan

Megan has been the Event Sales Director at Gainey Ranch since November 2023. Before that, she spent over three years as the Director of Membership Sales & Marketing at Rio Verde Country Club and started her career as the Golf Sales Manager at The Phoenician Golf Club. Growing up in Chandler, Arizona, Megan developed a love for golf at an early age, which earned her a collegiate golf and academic scholarship to Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado. She graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, finishing with honors and Summa Cum Laude distinction. In her free time, Megan enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and golfing with her husband.

About Lindsay

Lindsay has lived in Arizona since October 2019 and has been the private event coordinator at Gainey Ranch since December 2023. Prior to working at Gainey Ranch, she worked full time on her bridal jewelry business for 10 years, designing jewelry, partnering with gown designers on collections, planning photo shoots and trade shows. Prior to starting her business, she worked in the fashion industry in New York City, including an internship at Vogue magazine in the accessories department, assisting with photo shoots and the annual Met Gala event. She attended design school in Tampa, FL and completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Fashion Marketing and Management from the Art Institute in Chicago, IL. She absolutely loves working with weddings and events and seeing the joy that comes from clients and members who host their milestone events at the club.

About Randy

Randy comes from a long line of “Arizonans." As a 5th generation Arizona native, he completed his high school education at Shadow Mountain High School, attended Phoenix College on a two-year golf scholarship, and then attended Arizona State University. Randy began his golf career in outside service and then as an assistant professional at the former Scottsdale Country Club, followed by an assistant professional position at Acacia Country Club in Lyndhurst, Ohio. Upon returning from Ohio, Randy accepted a position at The Orange Tree Golf Resort, where he spent 27+ years working as an assistant professional, then Head Golf Professional, and finally Director of Golf Operations. Randy has been a Class A Member of the PGA of America - Southwest Section since 1990. He joined Gainey Ranch Golf Club as PGA Director of Player Development in the fall of 2012 and has been an instrumental part of the team ever since. Besides his many work accomplishments, Randy has had an extensive and successful playing career within the PGA Southwest Section with numerous individual, professional team, and pro-am victories in both junior, and now senior tournaments . As a senior player in the Southwest Section PGA, he earned Player of the Year honors in 2017 and again in 2019. Randy's wife, Jeanne, is a longtime flight attendant with Delta Airlines, and they share a daughter Taylor.

About Dean

Dean joined Gainey Ranch Golf Club as Head Golf Professional in April of 2024. Dean attended Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and studied Business Management with a specialization in Golf Management. He did multiple golf internships in college, including 2 internships at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort. After earning his Class A PGA membership in 2020, he moved to Arizona and worked at Desert Mountain Golf Club and TPC Scottsdale as their Lead Assistant Golf Professional. His favorite golf memory was passing the Playing Ability Test (PAT) in high school on the number with his dad as his caddie

About Jeremy

Jeremy has been a part of the Gainey Ranch Golf Club team since 2013, when he began as an Outside Service Attendant. In 2021, he started the PGA program and became an Assistant Golf Professional and was responsible for running the WGA, Niners, and Couples Leagues. Currently, he is the First Assistant Golf Professional and is Level 2 PGA Apprentice. He is originally from Racine, Wisconsin and attended University of Wisconsin – Whitewater to study Education and play basketball. As an avid lover of hiking and the outdoors, he moved to Phoenix, Arizona but kept true to his roots and continues to cheer on the Green Bay Packers with his dog, Lambeau.

About Ryan

Ryan has been the Director of Agronomy at Gainey Ranch since 2023. He was previously the Director of Agronomy at Boulders Golf Club, completing several major renovation projects. He moved to Arizona in 2014 and was the Senior Assistant Superintendent at Troon Country Club during their complete golf course renovation project in 2020. He grew up in northern Illinois and has worked at Bull Valley Golf Club, Lakeshore Country Club, and The Mauh-Nah-Tee-See Club in the Chicago area prior to moving to Arizona. He earned his bachelor's degree in Turfgrass Science and master’s degree in Turfgrass Management from Penn State University and is working toward his CGCS Certification through GCSAA. Ryan and wife enjoy trips to California’s wine country and have a goal of seeing the Chicago Cubs in every MLB stadium.

About Rob

Rob has been a PGA Professional since 2010.  He Graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Professional Golf Management. He spent several years pursuing a playing career, has won multiple times as a professional and advanced through stage 1 of Qualifying School. Rob has learned from the nation’s top instructors including Jim Mclean, Randy Smith, Mike Malaska and Ben Weir.  Rob grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah but fell in love with Arizona in college.  After being an instructor in Utah for several years, he is excited to be back in Arizona.  Rob was runner up for Teacher of the Year 2019 in the Utah PGA Section. When he is not golfing, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids named Elsie, Jackson and Greyson. 

About Tieche

Tieche Hutchinson has been the Buyer and Merchandiser at Gainey Ranch Golf Club since 2005. She originally hails from Beckley, West Virginia and made the move to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1999. Her favorite part of her job is getting to know the members and finding the latest and greatest in golf attire and equipment for them.

About Evan

Evan has been the Superintendent at Gainey Ranch since 2023. He also has prior desert golf experience as the North Course Superintendent at Boulders Golf Club. Before moving to Arizona in 2022, he held positions at the Country Club of Virginia-James River, The Winds Golf Club, New Prague Golf Club, Ridges at Sand Creek, and Alexandria Golf Club in Minnesota. He was one of 50 Assistant Superintendents selected nationwide in 2021 to the Greenstart Academy hosted at Pinehurst. He earned his bachelor's degree in Golf Enterprise Management while playing hockey at The University of Wisconsin-Stout. He is an avid golfer with an 8 handicap and enjoys following all Minnesota sports.

About Cindy

Cindy Mydock started her career working for Gainey Ranch Golf Club shortly after it opened in 1985. Cindy is an Arizona Native from the beautiful mountains of Flagstaff, Arizona. While working for the club, she went after her passion for the outdoors and obtained a degree in Ornamental Horticulture. Today, Cindy works directly with the Director of Agronomy and is part of the team that keeps the course in pristine condition.

About Amanda

Amanda grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona and loves calling the Valley of the Sun home. She started her career in hospitality as a hostess in high school, where she quickly realized her passion for it and later majored in Hospitality Administration at Arizona State University. Her career experience includes luxury four-diamond resorts, fine dining restaurants, and destination management companies (DMCs). She joined the Gainey Ranch Golf Club in 2024 as Member Experience Director and looks forward to continuing to offer exceptional service and experiences to members. When she’s not at work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her two rescue pups and checking off destinations from her travel bucket list.

About Annastasia

Annastasia is passionate about marketing and entertainment. She earned her degree in Marketing and Advertising with a minor in Psychology from Grand Canyon University in 2024 and has experience in retail, sports and entertainment, social media, and digital marketing. She started at Gainey Ranch Golf Club in 2023 as a Social Media Intern then joined the team full time as Member Experience Coordinator later that same year. Annastasia also has a long-standing passion for golf, having played competitive varsity golf in high school and supported programs like Girls Golf and The First Tee for many years. 

About Mark

Mark Stombaugh is originally from Northern Indiana but moved to sunny Arizona as a child. As former hotelier, Mark has worked in Meeting & Event Planning and Food & Beverage at The Phoenician Resort, Hilton Scottsdale, Doubletree Paradise Valley, The Boulders, and The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch. He joined Gainey Ranch Golf Club in 2023 and continues to deliver a luxury hospitality service to each member. He is married with three adult children and seven grandchildren. Mark and his wife Jackie live in Cave Creek and enjoy golfing, wine dinners, and trying all the new restaurants in town.

About Adnan

Adnan is originally from Bosnia and moved to Phoenix 25 years ago. He believes hospitality is his true passion and has a dedicated career as a food and beverage leader in the resort industry since 2001 that include renowned brands such as Hyatt, Hilton, and Marriott overseeing their banquets, events, restaurants, and pools. He finds joy in exploring restaurants and indulging in the food and beverage scene. In his free time, he enjoys spending moments with his two kids, Feho and Erna, and playing soccer. He is looking forward to continuing to connect with all the members and create lasting memories.

About Jose

Jose started as a Prep Cook for Gainey Ranch Golf Club in 1990 and developed a passion for cooking and the Restaurant Industry. In 1995, he started working for the Plaza Club in downtown Phoenix to expand his knowledge and skills as a cook. He was able to master his skills and came back to Gainey Ranch in 2000 and became a Sous Chef and then later Banquet Chef, and finally, Executive Chef in 2018. In his decades-long career, he has taken immense pride in his work and making sure that all his clients and patrons are happy. He prides himself on his ability to continue to learn and develop not only as a Chef, but as a leader of his team and the experiences they provide for members. In 2024 he was nominated for Chef of the Year for Invited Clubs. When he’s not creating delicious meals, he enjoys spending time with his four children and ten grandchildren.

About Santiago

Santiago is an experienced Chef who started his culinary career in California with a strong foundation in fine dining. During his career, he has had the privilege of working under renowned chefs Eric Aronow and Cody Buckholz, both trained by culinary legend, Thomas Keller. Previously, he has served as Sous Chef at both Rare Society in 2020 and then joined Coto de Caza Golf Club in 2021. He moved to Arizona and became a part of the Gainey Ranch Golf Club in 2024 and brings his passion for exceptional cuisine to every plate. When he is not in the kitchen, he enjoys rock climbing and mountain biking, embracing the outdoors and seeking new challenges with his wife. 

About Adrienne

Adrienne joined Gainey Ranch Golf Club as a Banquet Server in 2019 and was promoted to Office Administrator in 2024. She attended Phoenix College and graduated with honors with her associate's degree in accounting. Since 2005, her career has included a focus in accounting and tax specialties. She is originally from Tucson, Arizona where she grew up playing baseball and soccer before moving to Phoenix in 2005. Soccer has remained a favorite past time hers and now coaches her children in the sport. Adrienne’s top goal in her position at Gainey Ranch is to assist and support the wonderful members in all their accounting needs.

About Jocelyn

Jocelyn considers herself a "people person" and enjoys engaging and being the first person of contact for the members as they arrive to Gainey Ranch Golf Club. In her spare time, she takes advantage of the beautiful Arizona outdoors and embraces biking, hiking, paddle boarding, playing pickle ball and is currently learning to play golf! Jocelyn is originally from New York and the cultural arts, theater, opera, music, and ballet have been an integral part of her life since a young age and is also a "foodie" who loves and appreciates all types of food and mixology. She loves to experience these activities with her two adult daughters, who are her world.

About Jacque

Jacque is a fourth-generation Arizona native and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Phoenix College, graduating with distinction. She started her career at Encanto Park Kiddieland running the children’s boat rides and continued to serve Arizona locals throughout the Valley at Arizona institutions such as First National Bank of Arizona, Grand Canyon State Travelers, The Phoenician Resort, and Resort-Suites Scottsdale. Over the years, Jacque has enjoyed outdoor sports and shared a love of horses with her two daughters, competing in barrel racing for five years. She has also competed in tournament tennis, rode dirt bikes, and ran several 10k races. Her favorite career memory is conducting the Art Tours at The Phoenician from their exclusive collection.

About Juan

Juan joined Gainey Ranch Golf Club in 2023. He has experience in all aspects of Maintenance from Plumbing and HVAC, to Electrical and projects including overseeing entire parking structure lighting and cooling to AC conversions at apartment complexes and automotive dealerships such as Honda, Ford, Lincoln, and Nissan. In his spare time, he enjoys working on vintage cars and trucks with friends and his three daughters.
